The Pitch Fund Privacy Policy
Effective: September 17, 2025
This policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard personal information when you use our website and related services. It is not legal advice.
1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy does not apply to data we process as an investment manager on behalf of our portfolio companies or limited partners, nor to employment-related information. It also does not apply to third-party services you use to access our content (e.g., The Pitch Show platforms) or to investor portals operated by partners such as AngelList (their privacy policy governs those services).
2. Personal information we collect (Notice at collection)
We collect information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from service providers/partners.
A. Information you provide
Contact & Communications: name, email, company/role, and message content when you reach out (e.g., investment inquiries, LP deck requests, press).
Use: respond, evaluate opportunities, provide information, comply with law.
Disclose to: service providers, affiliates, legal/regulatory, business-transfer counterparties.Subscriptions (Beehiiv): email address and preferences if you sign up for newsletters/updates.
Use: send updates and measure engagement.
Disclose to: email/CRM service provider(s), legal/regulatory.Founder/Investment Submissions: information about you/your company, business model, financials and materials relevant to diligence.
Use: evaluate opportunities, conduct diligence, make decisions, support portfolio.
Disclose to: service providers, advisors/consultants, co-investors/syndicates, legal/regulatory.
Investor/LP portal & onboarding: Investor onboarding, accreditation, KYC/AML, tax forms, and LP portal access occur on AngelList systems. Data collected there is governed by AngelList's privacy policy.
B. Information collected automatically
Usage & Technical Data: IP address, approximate location, device/browser/OS, pages viewed, referring pages, timestamps, session diagnostics.
How: cookies, local storage, and analytics/pixels (e.g., Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Vercel Analytics); security/performance tooling (e.g., Cloudflare, Sentry, Vercel).
C. Information from third parties
Service providers & partners: hosting, analytics, email, security, error monitoring, and advertising platforms (e.g., Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, X/Twitter pixels).
Public/social sources: if you interact with us on platforms like LinkedIn or X.
3. How we use personal information
We may use your personal information for a variety of purposes, including:
- To provide and maintain our services, including our website and LP dashboard
- To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
- To evaluate investment opportunities and conduct due diligence
- To communicate with you about our fund, portfolio companies, and related matters
- To send newsletters and updates to subscribers
- To analyze website usage and improve our services
- To ensure the security and integrity of our systems
- To comply with legal obligations and protect our rights and the rights of others
4. How we disclose personal information
- Service providers/processors: e.g., Vercel (hosting & analytics), Cloudflare (DNS/DDoS/spam protection), Sentry (error monitoring), Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Beehiiv (email), and advertising platforms listed above—bound by appropriate contracts.
- Co-investors/partners/advisors: in connection with diligence or investments.
- Legal/compliance: to satisfy laws, regulations, lawful requests, or protect rights/safety.
- Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.
We do not process purchases or donations on our site and we do not store payment card data on our systems.
6. Retention
We retain personal information as long as needed for the purposes described, including legal, accounting, and compliance requirements. We may de-identify/aggregate data for analytics and improvement.
7. Security
We employ reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; please protect your credentials and use strong passwords.
8. Children's privacy
Our services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child provided personal information, contact us to request deletion.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable laws, you may have rights to access/know, correct, delete, restrict/object, and port certain data, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
How to exercise: email privacy@thepitch.fund (email-only workflow). We'll verify your identity and respond as required by law. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying with subject "Privacy Request Appeal."
10. Cookies & tracking
We use cookies and similar technologies for essential operations, analytics, and (if enabled) advertising/retargeting. You can control cookies in your browser/device settings. We do not currently provide a cookie preferences manager on the site.
Examples:
- Analytics: Google Analytics, Mixpanel, Vercel Analytics
- Security/Performance: Cloudflare, Sentry, Vercel
- Advertising pixels: Meta, Google Ads, LinkedIn, X/Twitter
U.S. "sale"/"sharing" disclosure
We do not sell personal information for money. Because we use advertising pixels, we may "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under certain U.S. state laws. To opt out, email privacy@thepitch.fund with subject "Opt-out of Targeted Advertising" and adjust your ad settings on those platforms and in your browser.
11. International transfers
We primarily operate in the United States. If we transfer personal information internationally, we use appropriate safeguards as required by law.
12. Third-party services
Our site may link to or integrate third-party features (e.g., AngelList, Beehiiv, social media, analytics/ads). Their privacy policies govern their processing.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Effective date" above reflects the latest revision. Material changes will be posted on this page.
